What is #STAGivingDay?

#STAGivingDay is an initiative that encourages alumnae, parents, students and friends to make a gift to St. Teresa’s Academy. Each gift, no matter the amount, makes an impact here at STA.

Where does my gift go?

There are many giving opportunities at St. Teresa’s Academy – all of which help us provide an enhanced experience for our hardworking students and dedicated faculty & staff.

Why doesn’t tuition cover the cost of an STA education?

The Academy’s policy is to keep tuition increases low so an STA education is accessible to a broad range of families. We are committed to an exceptional STA education. Tuition falls short of the true cost, covering 82 percent. Every student at STA is subsidized, even students who do not receive financial assistance. We rely on philanthropy to keep the tuition costs down.

Is it safe to make my gift online?

Yes. Making a gift online via our giving page is both easy and secure.

Is there a minimum gift amount?

Yes. Our secure online giving page has a minimum gift amount of $5. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Venmo and Discover.

Can I make a Giving Day gift by mail?

Yes! To make your gift by check:

  • Make it payable to STA and show “Giving Day” in the memo line
  • The check must received at STA by April 30, 2026

Can I make a Giving Day gift by phone?

If you would like to make your gift via a credit/debit card over the phone, please contact us at 816.501.0393.

Are #STAGivingDay gifts tax-deductible?

Yes. Gifts made online are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Donors receive a gift acknowledgment and tax receipt by email – can be mailed, if preferred.
